Once a concert venue and golf course, Dunaway Gardens has been around since 1942, when Dr. William Dunaway, a physician, and farmer, bought the property to construct his retirement home. Immediate family members of Dr. Dunaway still live in the neighborhood. Dr. Dunaway’s widow and her son, David, are the current caretakers of the gardens and are honored to keep his legacy alive. The gardens are run by the Dunaway family, who strive to preserve the history of the space as well as the fullness of its beauty.
